A TV/VCR combo set is thrown out in an Oregon town, but it survives and circulates through the lives of various Indigenous characters of color. In this multi-character portrait, young sisters, an artist, a junkyard scrapper, and his skater daughter all find connection through this seemingly obsolete object. Here is a brief interview about the project.

These are ALL speaking roles!
[ TREESHA ] female (8-13) NATIVE AMERICAN: A thin girl with doe-like eyes. She's observant and cautious—traits that have served her to navigate her turbulent life so far.[ KOKO ] female (4-7) NATIVE AMERICAN: A spunky girl with a huge heart. She's bold and strong- willed, with a dark imagination.
[ HERNAN ] male (35-50s) NATIVE MIXTEC/ZAPOTEC AND SPANISH SPEAKER: Indigenous Mexican or Central American (Oaxacan Mixtec or Zapotec a plus). He's a day laborer who juggles multiple jobs, including scrapping metal and building electric bikes. He's a dreamer who can see beyond the daily grind and difficult days. He can seem quiet and reserved, but has a deep faith in himself and his daughter.
[ MONA ] female (12-19): Indigenous Mexican or Central American (Oaxacan Mixtec or Zapotec, a plus). She's tough and would do anything for those she loves. Her life is complicated. She's a girl of few words but uses skateboarding to express her grace, courage, and tenacity. Must be able to ride a skateboard or willing to take private lessons (paid for by production).
[ ITZA ] female (late 30s/early 40s) NATIVE MIXTEC/ZAPOTEC, IDEALLY SPANISH FLUENT Indigenous Mexican or Central American (Oaxacan Mixtec or Zapotec a plus): She has a quiet demeanor, but her dignity and strength seep through her deep brown eyes. She wishes she were in the United States instead of her husband Hernan. She would never say this, but she thinks she would be able to provide better for her daughter.
[ FREDDY ] male, (mid-30s), SPEAKS SPANISH WITH FLUENCY: He's a brawny Mexican American/Chicano with a babyface. He likes to see himself as an affable and fun guy. He jokes about everything to help him take life not too seriously and avoid being accountable for his actions. It also allows him to assert power over others, but then he brushes off the responsibilities of power.
[ THUAN ] male (12-18): A lanky Vietnamese boy with a peach-fuzz mustache. He is small but has an oversized personality. His bravado masks his vulnerabilities. Must be able to ride a skateboard or willing to take private lessons (paid for by production).
[ KENNY ] male (12-18): A shy African American kid. He's a natural at skating-- he can impress easily, but isn't comfortable with being the center of attention. He's grown up around lots of white kids, so he knows what it feels like to stand out and have unrealistic expectations put on him. He's smart and likes to defy those expectations. He's a mama's boy with a big, kind heart, but he's learned to be aloof to avoid judgment. Must be able to ride a skateboard or willing to take private lessons (paid for by production).
[ SHOEI ] male (30-45) JAPANESE NATIVE SPEAKER: He loves making art, but he's not overly ambitious. He can’t kick his habit of smoking and buying lottery tickets. Although he wants to avoid the trappings of adulthood, deep down, he yearns to be a dad. Okinawans/Ryukyuans encouraged to apply.
